3 on 3 Co-ed Volleyball Tourney

This last Tuesday we had a volleyball tournament at school, sponsored by the student council. It was a lot of fun! Not a lot of seniors, so we got to hang out with some of our younger kids. We lost two games and won one. Hey, we tried! I'm glad I wore knee pads! :)

Mugsy Sent Me

May 1st, we had our Spring Production of "Mugsy Sent Me." It was kind of a review in a way, since there wasn't any 'real' plot, but there were characters that spoke. We were in "Big Al's Place" eating and having a good time, listening to performances and watching people dance. Big Al(ice) did make an appearance at the end since we brought in some 'prohibited' items (root beer). It was a fun evening with great food and entertainment. My cast. There were some tears from moms who got to watch their daughters come to dance with their dads. It was cute! We had so many kids that wanted to get up and show off their talents by singing solos, duets, and small groups. It was great! Big Al(ice) Her bodyguards.

Allen wrote a little something to his two graduating seniors. He then picked out some pics of them, I tweaked them, and now we need to print and frame them for graduation. Jake Brad

Busy week

This week is a busy one for our family. We have a homestudy update next Tuesday, so we're trying to get ready for that. I keep getting called to take foster kids (1yr old boys, mostly), but no one would update our house since we moved. Tuesday is the day - finally. Our Spring Show, "Mugsy Sent Me" is this Saturday, so I'm busy tonight and Friday with dress rehearsals. Sunday is our niece and nephew's confirmation, so Cael and I will be heading out to Arapahoe to be a part of that. Since May is upon us, I will basically say goodbye to Allen and see him again in June. The bakery is crazy with graduation cakes in May, so he goes in early and comes home late. Just goes with the territory, I guess. Hope your week is a great one!

New Fire Pit

Our back patio was bare. It still needs cleaned up a bit, but Allen got a leaf blower, so that shouldn't be long off. Cael and I snuggling on the swing. Smores!

Easter weekend

After Sunrise Service we had our LYF breakfast. That will be my last for a while, since there will be some new sponsors as of the end of the summer. Yea! 6 years is plenty! Sunrise is still my favorite, so next year, I'll get to eat and sit down! Cael found lots of Easter eggs at Grandma's in Arapahoe. Allen was supposed to work 3am to 12 on Sunday, but fortunately, he got off early, so we headed west. When we got home, we put up Cael's new bed. Yes, it has a slide and a tent. Inside the tent.

This is what the dining room looked like when we moved in. Gag. Curtains changed. New color on the wall. Wood floors refinished. New dining room set. New lighting. Beautiful! :) Grandpa Blake came for a visit on Tuesday, since he and Allen both had the day off. This is what I put above our bed in the newly redrywalled room.
